"Walking Away"

Now that Obama won, he is going in for the kill, i.e. kill the Republican and conservative messaging. The Dems are already taking aim at the next two election cycles hoping to gain seats if the Republicans vote for tax increases on the wealthy as Obama is proposing. The establishment Republicans and pundits ought to take a good hard look at themselves and harden their positions rather than negotiate with themselves and the media.

I agree in walking away and let Obama take us over the "cliff" if he is not willing to make significant upfront budget cuts along with tax and entitlement reform. I know Republicans will get the blame but they will no matter what they do. Republicans have to stop worrying about what the leftwing media thinks. Obama will get his tax increases (on everyone) but the negative economic impact will leave Obama no choice but to deal. Sounds crazy but this country is falling apart without major reforms. Maybe it will work. We need some kind of shock to come to our senses. Voting for Obama for a second term is putting us over the "cliff" as a country anyway, so what do we have to lose.

The United States of Obama

The greatest hoax perpetrated on American society has now achieved a second term. Barack Obama and his radical socialist ideals will now have 4 more years to entrench itself and the America as we knew it will cease to exist.

If that portion of the electorate that voted for him thinks it has achieved victory, it is vastly mistaken. The economic growth of the country will remain stagnate along with Europe, the poor will become poorer and more dependent with little hope of advancing to the middle class, the middle class will continue to shrink, and the government will get bigger and more intrusive stifling investment and opportunity. Public sector unions will become even more powerful and demand even more pay and benefits. Even FDR opposed public sector unions.

Energy costs will continue to rise and the country's infrastructure will fall into increased disrepair. What the government doesn't control, it will tax until it runs out of other people's money as Margaret Thatcher so wisely said, and if it runs out, as it already has, it will borrow or print even more.

The deficit will continue to grow exponentially. The 16 plus trillion right now will grow to about 24 trillion by end of 2016. The executive branch will continue to push entitlements and Congress will not have the votes or the willpower to cut entitlements and the budget significantly. Taxes will increase and revenue from taxes will continue to stagnate or drop in a lackluster economy. Any budget resolution will raise taxes while promising budget cuts that will never happen.

It will continue it's nationalization of the health care system resulting in less quality health care and drive competent doctors and hospitals into private care where they will only serve those with money and/or high cost private health insurance. Medicare and Medicaid will not have the money to care for those in the program and the life span for those people will begin to shrink.

Our enemies will take advantage of America's decline and advance their economic and military control over the rest of the world. Iran will get nuclear weapons and Israel's existence will be in doubt. Other nations will develop nuclear weapons to counter the Iranian threat and the world will become like the wild west. America will cease to be the beacon of freedom or the "shining city on the hill".

I don't know how long this deteriorating process will take, but I have lost faith in the electorate with it's zombie like voting. Our democracy cannot work without an informed and educated public. I would like to feel more optimistic of course. Maybe Americans will find a way to work out of this mess. For instance, maybe the States could take matters into their own hands and start to control their own destiny and find ways to separate themselves from the federal system. If we don't find a way to see ourselves clear, the America we once knew is lost.

We Need a True Conservative Message

Correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't heard Sarah say unequivocally that she would not reconsider a run for the presidency. She seems to mince her words very carefully when asked if she would reconsider. My take, some of which may of course be wishful thinking, is that she would get into the race if the true conservative message gets lost in the debate or there is no true conservative voice left in the race.

Right now the media is trying to foster a battle between the candidates so that the anti-Obama conservative message is lost in the shuffle. The candidates, especially Romney and Gingrich are falling into the media's trap by continually focusing on each other's flaws and agreeing to answer the media's line of questioning about social or comparatively minor issues rather than keeping it focused on exposing Obama for what he really is, and for what he is doing that will result in destruction of the economic infrastructure of this country.

We desperately need a candidate that is charismatic and can communicate the true conservative message consistently with conviction as well as expose Obama as the radical he really is. Right now she is one of a very few who can fulfill that role.
